On the underside of the barrel, in front of the trigger guard, it is marked with what looks like a lower case cursive "h" beneath the serial number "59xx" and beneath the cursive letter the numbers "8,82".Identifying Walther P38 markings... So, I picked up this Walther today at the local gun emporium. I tried to find out as much about the pistol as I can. Based off some ordinary resources: Welcome to the P38 Web Site.... the technical data sheet, production numbers, etc, I seem to have narrowed down that my pistol was a 1941 production ….
