Exterior extension jambs cannot be used with a double gliding insect screen track. Jamb kit is used for any Feather River door with a 4-9/16" Outswing jamb. Extends the jamb from 4-9/16-in to 6-9/16-in towards the inside of the opening. Comes with 2- unfinished pvc jamb extension, 1- unfinished pvc head extension, and composite threshold extender. Jamb and head extension material is textured pvc.Now rip-cut the portion of the flat jamb behind the stop, and cut a 3/8" dado on the newly exposed face. There's one half. For the other half you have an extension jamb that fits into the dado, usually with a casing already applied. You can adjust the tongue of the extension jamb into or out of the dado in order to make up for framing deficiencies.Adding 2 inch extension jambs to the windows is pretty straight forward. Door jambs can be a bit more exciting. If you set the door units in place and add extension jambs, the door slab will be setting back 2 inches from the finished wall surface.
