Currenly have the defence fighting style, +1 to ac making mine 17/19 with shield. I rarely get hit because its high and my fellow adventurers are a bit squishier with ac's around 14 or so. I rarely get hit because its high and my fellow adventurers are a bit squishier with ac's around 14 or so. Thought it may be more paladin-y to be looking after others and use my shield to impose disadvantage onto attacks..
