The Dana 300 takes a GL5 rated gear oil, same as the diffs. No additives needed. The transmission however takes a GL4 rated gear oil or synchromesh fluid. The problem with only one bottle is the increased amount of fluid the Dana 70 and 80s have over the 60. Seen enough of the 70s eat up the clutches by not adding enough slip lube. When I service any 70 or 80 min amount is 1 1/2 bottles in the 70 and 2 in the 80. As far as I know, the D50 and D60 use the same case, so they SHOULD have the same capacity.
